Welcome to this new blog on Indian racing. There are so many blogs to give tips every race day.I am not going to dwell on that.
My aim is simply to share my knowledge that I inculcated over a period of time. It is not my endeavour to display sophistication by using flowery language and unusual terms in racing language like speed rating, dynamic rating, speed fractions, pedigree analysis etc.
It is just handicapping.
How?
we will discuss every thing in simple terms and in those terms we are familiar with or we should be familiar with.
Whatever terms we talk is easily available and understandable to every lay man.
If we say Class V race we are talking about the bottom class race framed in every centre with bottom rated runners. Horses rated from 0 to 25,0 to 26 are permitted to run in this class.
So Class IV is a race for horses rated above Class V and so on (Horses rated 20-45 or Horses rated 20-46 or horses rated upto 50 like that.
Then there is Class IIII, Class II, Class I.
Apart from Handicap races there are Terms races.
Terms for Maiden 3 year Old, Terms for 3yo & over, Terms for 4yo & over. Terms with penalty clause etc.
These are the fundamentals one should know.
Let us learn them and more.
We will discuss one by one in this blog.
